When you look into the eyes of an Anatolian, you're looking into their soul.

Meet Pasa...My Anatolian Shepherd Dog

My name is Pasa and I'm an Anatolian Shepherd Dog, an ancient Turkish livestock guardian breed. My name is Turkish meaning "Pasha" which also means "high ranking". I was born in Attalla, Alabama on November 27th, 2006. I now live with my Mommy, 2 older sisters and a younger brother in Pennsylvania. I have yet to live up to my name but I'm working on it. I know I'm still a puppy but I'm very, very alert. I will also sound an alarm and mean it if need be. Mommy picked my name because it sounded more like a girlie name and I really am a girlie girl. I'm incredibly sweet, gentle and affectionate. I just love staying close to Mommy and being wherever she is. I'll give her my sweet, gentle look then roll on my back and if I'm lucky she will give me some good belly rubs. I just love my belly rubs. She loves how soft I am since I have a nice, soft, plush coat. I'm such a good girl for her. I listen very well and I don't cause any trouble. I don't even bother looking for trouble. I'd rather just find a toy to lay down and play with. My favorite is the nylabone followed by some stuffed toys and rope toys. I like taking my toys outside with me then I bring them back inside like a good girl. I love going outside to run and play with my sisters and little brother. I can run very fast too. Almost as fast as Kazara even though I'm still a pup. When I get older I'll give her a run for her treats and toys. I know I amaze Mommy with my speed for being as young as I am. I like chasing Kazara but I like wrestling with my little brother even more. We romp and roll all over the place. We have so much fun. I even help my sisters chase rabbits and birds but my favorite thing to do is to chase bugs. I'm a very inquisitive girl and bugs really catch my attention. Mommy thought I was losing my mind the first time she saw me do it till she realized what I was doing. All she could do was laugh at me because I guess I looked funny. I'm a moaner and a groaner too. I'm in competition for the lead drama queen of the pack. I can also be really lazy. At feeding time I'd rather lay down to eat my food then stand. I just think it's more comfortable. Mommy just says I'm lazy. That's just my nature though. I'm just a sweet girl that loves to relax every chance I get.
