Meet Kazara...My Anatolian Shepherd Dog
My name is Kazara and I'm an Anatolian Shepherd Dog, an ancient Turkish livestock guardian breed. My name is Turkish meaning "by chance". My name fits me because I was born in Attalla, Alabama on July 26th, 2005, which happens to be "by chance" my Mommy's half sister's birthday. I now live in Pennsylvania with my Mommy and my older half sister Raven and my 2 younger siblings. My older half sister Raven and I have the same Dad and so does my Mommy and her half sister. It really was "by chance" that I share the same birthday as my Mommy's half sister. I'm a happy girl. I really gave my Mommy some issues when I was a younger puppy during my first year and a half but now I'm a big sweet heart and all I want is love and attention. I love my family. I look up to Raven as she helped to raise me. She has been a wonderful big sister to me. I respect her 100%. I love running and playing with her and my 2 younger siblings. I even like to chase birds and I catch them. I'm the fastest one of them all. Mommy says I look like a gazelle running at top speed. She calls me her speed demon. I love to wrestle with my siblings. We have so much fun. I'm a quiet girl and I like doing my fake bark. I'll only bark loud if I feel that I need to. I'm very obediant too. I like to please Mommy when she tells me to do things. I even do my little routine for my treats and food. As soon as I see Mommy hold the treat or food up for me, I sit real pretty, let out a couple of my famous fake and silent barks, then fall to the floor in a down position. It brings a smile to her face every time. I'm a big goof ball and love being silly to make her laugh. I also love my toys. My favorites are an orange dumbbell, nylabones, rope toys and any stuffed animals I can pull to shreds. I love making piles of stuffing from the toys. It looks like snow inside the house! I just don't like to share much. I won't share my food at all so I have to eat alone. I'm not fond of sharing my treats either, except with Raven. I like to steal the toys from the others and let them watch ME play with them; then when I'm done they can have them back if I'm feeling generous. I'm just an all about me kind of girl. My big sister Raven taught me how to be a drama queen too. I just want all the attention. When Mommy does a group hug, I squeeze past the others just to be the first one in the hug. I can be a little jealous at times but I love my Mommy. I want her all to myself. I love being a big baby and a clingy girl. Yes, I am big too. I am 30" at the shoulder and was 110 pounds the last time I was weighed. Everyone calls me "Miss Long Legs". I'm not even done growing yet! Even though I'm big, I still try to climb in Mommy's lap because I love being touched and held. I don't want to let her out of my sight. I lay on the steps all the time to watch over everything and especially her. I'm the "Queen Of The Steps".
